Current news items concerning Unidentified Flying Objects and other aspects of purportedly otherworldly action will be found below. At right, you will find current news feeds pertaining to U.F.O.s and related phenomenon. Since I eliminated the "Earth" section I will be posting crop circle stories here instead of there (make sense?).

Can You Identify These UFOs?

A witness in Tennessee took the photo below and then thought that there was UFOs captured in the photo. The person claims to not have been able to see the circles in the image while the photo was being taken. Hopefully you can figure out what is seen in this photo fairly quickly, if not, don't worry, even those who work for MUFON are apparently fooled by this image.

A closer look:

Still don't see it? The big clue is the light in the left center of the photo (see the one on top), this is a light from a Christmas tree hanging into the frame which explains that this photo was more than likely taken indoors. The UFO are nothing more than recessed lights reflected into the camera. In the biz we call this a false positive.

Strange Spiral U.F.O., Black Hole, or Rocket?

A scary event unfolded in the skies over Norway on December 9, 2009. What appeared to be a U.F.O. created a spiral in the skies. It also appeared that a hole was created "in the sky" as well as a "beam of blue light" was focused up on the clouds from below. Many have speculated that HAARP (a secret Government project) might be to blame or that the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) located hundreds of miles away along the border of France and Switzerland possibly created a black hole over the Earth.

The most likely scenario is that a test rocket, which was launched by the Russian military in the White Sea, suddenly went out of control and was sent spiraling through the clouds creating this odd effect. Of course, Russia is denying this is happening as well.

A possible explanation? It is proposed that the object was a failed ICBM by the Russian military from the White Sea. Here is a video that explains most likely what it is we are seeing:

Vatican Looks to Heavens for Signs of Alien Life

I guess all of the numerous stories around the world have prompted the Pope to take the possibility that we are not alone seriously. This could possibly be a big step forward for the general public as far as belief in other life. The Roman Catholic Church gathered a group of scientists from all over the world to discuss the possibility that life exists elsewhere. Many will be using that trendy word that seems to never catch on, "disclosure".

Whitley Striber's Challenge Answered

An amazing new crop circle pops up after Whitley Strieber sets out a challenge of needing to see a crop circle beyond our design capability. This intricate pattern popped up within an hour and eighteen minute timeframe. It is supposedly so intricate that not only could we not repeat this pattern in a week's time, it might not be possible for us to replicate it at all. Click above or below to read the whole story.

U.F.O., Rocket Boosters, umm, Meteor over East Coast

A large flash and loud boom was heard from Maryland all the way to North Carolina on the evening of Sunday, March 29. Numerous calls were made to several agencies who initially reported they did not know what it was (NOAA) which caused many to think conspiracy theory for some reason. There were many false reports of U.F.O. sightings made and many claims that this was solar flares or other end-of-the-world scenario. The truth, it seems, is stranger than fiction, or is it? At first a high possibility for the flash (besides the obvious one of a meteor) was that it was the booster rockets from the Russian spacecraft Soyuz which launched about a week earler. The U.S. Naval Observatory originally stated that this was the likely possibility, although other reports (Spaceweather.com)quickly noted that the rockets landed near Taiwan. Oops? So, it's likely that it was just your run-of-the-mill meteor burnup.

A closed circuit video of the bright flash was recorded. Pay special note to the bottom right hand corner video. Watch the front of the parked van as well as the windshield for a neat reflection of the object.

Witness Releases Chicago O'Hare Airport U.F.O. Footage

A purported witness to the Chicago O'Hare U.F.O. incident, which took place in November 7, 2006, has suddenly come forward and posted his cell phone footage. He posts this footage in anonymity on March 21, 2009, stating that his "status" makes it difficult to say who he is. A good hoaxer likes to tell the World who he/she is, but obviously this person knows they will be exploited as a fraud and probably does have some sort of reputation that will suffer.

Check out the video and you decide, is this or could this be real footage?:

Read the Examiner story about this video for their look at what the video contains.

My view reflects that of the story. First, let's look at the facts of this incident from the real witnesses as well as the facts gathered from the scene. The skies over Chicago were cloudy that day. The video does show cloud cover in the background, but not the type of clouds that were in the area of Chicago on that particular day. The sky above the U.F.O. shows blue skies, it remained cloudy all day in Chicago and up until 11 A.M. it was foggy in most places. Weather aside, the U.F.O. was seen within the cloud cover directly over the C17 gate and there was no way any witnesses from within any of the gates could see the U.F.O. let alone film it. The U.F.O. was estimated to be around 1000 feet or more above the gate and would not have been able to have been filmed at this angle. It amazes me how people create these films with the intent on deception yet leave themselves wide open to be discredited by facts.

I would have to say what we are looking at is a pieced together video and the "U.F.O." is a piece of some other building or other solid object. One could only wish this were evidence of the sighting, but the odds (and facts) are stacked heavily against it.

The story turns out to be a hoax. It was done by Anthony Warton as a means of expressing of expressing his feelings that videos and photographs make lousy evidence/proof for U.F.O. sightings as many "experts" tend to believe many things without critical thought. I completely agree and as you can read above I did not agree with this video at all and I did read a lot of comments of various outlets covering this story who did.

Invasion of the Stick Men!

Have you seen the stick figure alien videos yet? There are a couple out there that are pretty creepy. A new one has surfaced and has been debunked just as quickly. Javier Ortega of Ghost Theory.com has quickly pointed out that this one has an easy explanation. I completely agree with his findings. View the video below and then check out the findings:

Large Cigar Shaped U.F.O. over Cleveland on January 24, 2009!

I wouldn't have believed it had I not seen it myself. A large Cigar shaped U.F.O. was observed southeast of Cleveland on a couldy and cold day on January 24, 2009 at 5 P.M. OK, so it wasn't technically a U.F.O. since I knew what it was (long before I actually saw it as well). The familiar drone of twin engines had me looking skyward as I got out of my car that afternoon as I wondered if my guess was actually right. As I neared my front door I turned and saw it headed north. The familiar blue band covering the gray blimp with the words "Goodyear" plastered across its equator.

Spirit of Goodyear

I was amazed to see it in January in northeast Ohio. I wondered two things; what was the reason for this unseasonal flight? How long would it be until the U.F.O. reports came flooding in...

Photo courtesy Goodyearblimp.com and not a photo I took of my encounter!

The blimp was in town covering the U.S. Figure Skating Championships at Quicken Loans arena according to a spokesperson for Goodyear.

Enormous Rise in Local U.F.O. Sighitngs

Falls Township, Pennsylvania has had a huge spike in U.F.O. sightings that has been on the rist since last summer. The eastern area of Pennsylvania has had an increase overall, but is this just because of the focus of these reports?

News link contains video and photos of recent reports.

Mass U.F.O. Sighting Over Austrailia

There seems to be a flap of U.F.O. sightings happening in Austailia, especially in the Northern Territory area. A new story posted on October 8, from a remote Northern Territory station stated that cattlemen sighted a set of lights about a month ago and the lights have returned again. A sighting on September 12 includes multiple witnesses (6 total). Though they admit to drinking some beer, they swear alcohol is not a factor. The sightings happened at night and was a silent light, though there is no mention of how large the light was or how close or bright it was (and of course no photographs). Note the further stories at the bottom of the page.

"Sky Squid" Filmed by Discovery Channel Crew?

A breaking story that surrounds a video of an odd object that seems to transform in the air. At first glance it looks like metallic balloons, but after observing this video I'm not certain what it is. The news crew in the video is supposedly from the Discovery Channel, hopefully their video will become available shortly.

U.F.O. Near the GoodYear Blimp?

On August 25th, a photo was taken by a driver of a vehicle of the GoodYear blimp. He later noticed a cigar shaped object in hte photo. He did not see the object prior to taking the photo. My personal opinion on this is that it's a dirty lens. Here is the photograph below.
